Problem 45

Sections of a bone marrow trephine biopsy from a patient aged 56 years who complained of vague malaise of gradual onset and increasing severity. Haemoglobin 10.5 g/dl. A few myelocytes and an occasional normoblast were noted in the blood film. Haematoxylin & eosin‚ and silver stains. What are your observations and conclusions?
